Earlier this month, Valve announced that it would be launching a new limited edition Steam Deck OLED. The $679 handheld features the same hardware and specifications as its 1 TB transparent model from last year but with a matte-white finish. It is currently available to pre-order from Valve while supplies last.
Purchases of the new Steam Deck are limited to one per Steam account, and just in case you were thinking about making some spoof accounts, Valve has also mentioned that the account must have made a valid Steam purchase before November 2024 to buy one. While quantities are limited, stock will be allocated proportionally across all Steam Deck shipping regions.
Like Valve’s transparent limited edition from last year, this version has an orange power button but features a matte-white shell with slate-grey accents on the triggers, buttons, and thumbsticks. The limited edition OLED will also ship with an exclusive white carrying case and microfiber cleaning cloth. Aside from the aesthetic differences, this version of the Steam Deck OLED is identical to the standard, 1TB model that goes for $649.
