What does the latest Fortnite map look like? Chapter 5 Season 4 sees Doctor Doom return to the island, alongside an assembly of other Marvel heroes and villains. As ever, they’re not the only new addition to the island, as the location itself has gone through some major changes since season 3.
Since the battle royale game is constantly in flux, everything in this guide probably will change throughout the season. This goes also for the many Fortnite weapons and Fortnite NPCs, including those beloved superheroes. So, here are the latest changes to the Fortnite map in Chapter 5 Season 4.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 map
With a brand new map to explore, here are all the POIs and whether or not they’re any good for loot:
- Rebel’s Roost – there’s not a lot of standard loot here, but drop in early to unlock the underground sections and incredible items from War Machine’s arsenal.
- Doomstadt – Doomstadt itself is home to some okay ground loot, but you want to head to the bunkers to the east and west of the area for rare chests and weapon chests containing Marvel weaponry.
- Doom’s Courtyard – Of all the new areas, we wouldn’t recommend Doom’s Courtyard for loot, as those areas nearest to bunkers are the best. However, that could mean Doom’s Courtyard is a less busy place to land, and all the ground loot there could be yours.
- Castle Doom – Like Rebel’s Roost, Castle Doom is also home to valuable special weapon cases, so it’s a great place to land to get that hard-hitting loot early.
- The Underworld – replacing Ritzy Rivera is the home of Hades. The main building complex has several god chests inside and tons of regular loot and ammo crates.
- Grim Gate – a relatively small area guarding the path to The Underworld. It also has some god chests in its main building’s hallways, as well as lots of guns and ammo to tempt you inside.
- Restored Reels – now restored to its former glory, this is still relatively quiet and can yield a good amount of loot, including a weapon case hidden away underground.
- Freaky Fields – while not the best place for overall loot, there’s a lot more cover to allow you to win firefights. You can also easily catch the train here.
- Grand Glacier – home to a pretty hotel with a good amount of loot, and some stunning views.
- The Raft – There’s some standard loot on The Raft, but it’s not a great location to find the best gear. That said, there is a bunker just south of the raft where you can get more Marvel goodies.
- Nitrodome – Not only is there plenty of loot at the Nitrodome, but it’s also a great place to go if you’re looking to commandeer a fast vehicle.
- Mount Olympus – this huge area is packed with loot, but as we’ve already said, the place to look for the best gear is bunkers – head to the north west of Mount Olympus to find one here.
- Brawler’s Battleground – the main arena has about as much loot inside as Grim Gate, but there are plenty of items also in the structure to the east. Worth exploring if the storm begins in a forgiving place.
- Redline Rig – this nitro refinery is fully operational and overseen by The Machinist. It’s fairly big with plenty of loot, but also tons of hazards.
- Brutal Beachhead – this area is filled with loot but is a bit far from the center.
- Sandy Steppes – the steppes boast a reasonable amount of loot, but you’ll have to get lucky to bag a top-tier weapon here.
Fortnite Reload map
Here is everything you should know about the POIs in the Fortnite Reload map:
- Dusty Docks – one of the better places for loot in the map, though you probably shouldn’t stick around here all that long as the storm will likely affect this area.
- Lil’ Loot Lake – home to one tiny house, this area is probably not the best drop point, but it can make for a fantastic fort if the storm allows you to.
- Lone Lodge – another rather isolated house and one where you can be ambushed rather easily. Probably not worth bothering coming here unless desperate.
- Pleasant Park – a small neighborhood of houses filled with loot, though being on the coast is risky.
- Retail Row – a group of shops filled with loot you can plunder, but expect to escape from the other shoppers before the weather turns.
- Sandy Sheets – a very small cluster of condos that don’t have much loot in them.
- Snobby Shoals – the house and surrounding area have plenty of loot to hunt for, and the pond nearby has the potential for rare items.
- Tilted Towers – the classic drop point is nice and central. Sure it’s a bit smaller, but it does have the best loot potential.
