Baldur’s Gate 3 has been out for over a year, but the fervor for the game is still high, especially with Larian Studios continuing to add big, meaty patches to the game. The cast, too, still has tons of stories to share about their experiences with the game.
At this year’s New York Comic Con, Baldur’s Gate 3 cast members Neil Newbon (hedonistic vampire elf Astarion), Devora Wilde (prickly githyanki fighter Lae’zel), and Jennifer English (brooding dark cleric Shadowheart), as well as motion-capture director Aliona Baranova (who also voices Corinna the squirrel) took to the stage. The quartet chatted about working on the game, seeing the fan reaction, and their own time playing Baldur’s Gate 3.
“Myself,” replied Wilde, without a moment’s hesitation.
“On my [Twitch] channel, we call that ‘As-turbation’,” added Newbon, who is also romancing his own character.
English, who’s doing a co-op run of the game with her girlfriend Baranova, had a more nuanced answer.
“In our playthrough, I’m romancing you [Lae’zel],” said English to Wilde. “One time, we called Dev just after the Lae’zel romance scene. And I just went ‘Dev! We just had sex!’“
However, English’s romance choice for her solo playthrough fell more in line with her co-stars’.
“I’m also romancing myself,” she revealed.
What can we say? They have good taste in characters.
